Trilingual (Cantonese, Mandarin & English) arts Leader and Producer with track record of leadership (across levels) through change, project management from conception to evaluation, earned and fundraised income generation, and objective-led relationship management. I love working with artists to positively change the world.
A strong believer in seeing challenges as opportunities, I blend subsidised/NPO producing, grass-roots venue and community leadership, regional artist development and consortium management; Commercial/Independent Producing with West End and Fringe First credits; International work
I was Agent for Change for Artistic Directors of the Future where I evidenced hidden barriers faced by Global Majority practitioners and created peer to peer networks. In 2024 I was Executive Director for Streatham Space Project where leadership meant accurate financial forecast, responsible decision-making, managing an orderly programme wind down and staff redundancies, successful emergency fundraising and implementing a turnaround strategy, transiting into a hires venue.
Prior to that, I was CEO for Kakilang where I secured funding and partnerships to progress two productions within 6 months, I left the CEO role after invaluable lessons which I have and will continue to implement in future and stayed on as freelancer to line-produce them (The Dao of Unrepresentative British Chinese Experience - Soho Theatre; The Lonesome Death of Eng Bunker - Omnibus Theatre). This developed my resilience, dynamic leadership beyond job-title and professionalism under complex circumstances. It also re-affirmed my exceptional producing and people skills.
In between employment, I’m proud to be supported by British Council Festival Travel Grant, Stage One Producers' Bursary, Arts Council England Developing Your Creative Practice, Film and TV Charity.
Internationally; I am a regular consultant for the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, London; where I support productions at all scales from Hong Kong visiting the UK, including a 40-cast large scale WILD the Musical at Rose Theatre Kingston. I’ve worked as leadership facilitator for PAC Australia as part of the International Society for Performing Arts (ISPA) Congress 2024 and Programme Assistant for Hong Kong Fringe Club.
As General Manager for Creative Youth, I developed a new digital fundraising initiative during COVID and won Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy’s Giving Tuesday Award.
I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Philanthropic Studies at the University of Kent, achieved with Blackbaud Scholarship
